Installation

3.1 Download the Application

Download the QQ Assessment Application installer from your university exam portal.

1. Sign in to your university exam portal in a web browser.
2. Select Download Application from the top menu.
3. Under Windows, select Download QQSetup.zip or Download QQSetup.exe.
4. Wait for the download to finish. The installer (QQSetup) is saved to your Downloads folder.

The Windows tab offers EXE and MSI installers. Unless your university instructs otherwise, use the EXE installer.

While the file downloads, you can follow its progress in your browser’s download list.

3.2 Install the Application

1. Open your Downloads folder and locate the downloaded QQSetup file.
2. If you downloaded the .zip file, right-click it and select Extract All. If you downloaded the .exe file, double-click it and go to step 5.
3. In the Extract Compressed (Zipped) Folders window, confirm the destination folder and select Extract.
4. Open the extracted QQSetup folder and double-click QQSetup.
5. In the Install QQ window, select Install. If any prerequisites are missing, the wizard guides you through installing them.
6. Wait while the application is installed. The progress bar shows the installation status.
7. When the message QQ has been installed is displayed, select Finish.

When the installation is complete, the QQ shortcut is added to your desktop.

You can also right-click QQSetup and select Open to start the installer.

3.3 Launch the Application

1. Double-click the QQ icon on your desktop.
2. Wait for the application to load.

The university selection screen is displayed.

Alternatively, right-click the QQ icon and select Open.

3.4 Update the Application

When a new application version becomes available, an update window titled Found Updates for QQ displays on launch. Alternatively, a notification dialog stating “New version available. Please restart your system to get the latest update! Aborting…” will appear. 

Follow these steps to update the application: 

1. Initiate the Update: In the Found Updates for QQ window, select Download and install now. 

1. Download Progress: The update process begins automatically under Installing Updates for QQ, displaying a progress bar with total download size and percentage completion. Ensure the computer remains connected to an active internet connection throughout this process. 
2. Installation & Configuration: Once downloaded, the package installs automatically (e.g., installing update QQ 5.2.12). A system window reading “Please wait while Windows configures QQ” appears during final setup. 
3. Complete Setup: Wait until the progress bar completes and the configuration window closes automatically. Do not close the window or power off the computer during installation.
