Installation

3.1 Download the Application

Download the QQ Assessment Application installer for macOS from your university exam portal.

1. Sign in to your university exam portal in a web browser.
2. "اختر" Download Application from the top menu.
3. Under macOS, select Download QQSetup.pkg أو Download QQSetup_MAC.zip.
4. Wait for the download to finish. The installer is saved to your Downloads folder.

الـ macOS tab offers separate installers for Intel و Apple Silicon Macs. To check which your Mac uses, open the Apple menu > About This Mac and look for Chip (Apple Silicon, for example Apple M1) or Processor (Intel).

While the file downloads, you can follow its progress in your browser’s download list.

3.2 Install the Application

1. كتابة مباشرة Finder and go to your Downloads folder.
2. If you downloaded the .zip file, double-click it to extract the installer.
3. Double-click QQSetup.pkg to open the installer.
4. "اختر" "متابعة" on each screen, and accept the license agreement if prompted.
5. "اختر" تثبيت. If prompted, enter your Mac user password or use Touch ID, and then select Install Software.
6. When the message The installation was completed successfully is displayed, select Close.

You can also right-click (or Control-click) the installer and select كتابة مباشرة.

On the Select a Destination screen, select Install for all users of this computer, and then select "متابعة". On the Installation Type screen, select تثبيت.

3.3 Launch the Application

1. Open the Applications folder in Finder, or open Launchpad.
2. "اختر" QQ to open the application.
3. Wait for the application to load.

The university selection screen is displayed.

3.4 Allow Camera and Microphone Access

The first time the application uses the camera or microphone, macOS asks for permission.

1. When QQ requests camera access, select السماح بمشاركة.
2. When QQ requests microphone access, select السماح بمشاركة.

If you accidentally select Don’t Allow, open System Preferences > Privacy & Security > Privacy Tab, select الكاميرا أو Microphone, and enable access for QQ. Restart the application after changing these settings.

3.5 Update the Application

When a new application version becomes available, an update window displays automatically on launch. Follow these steps to download and install the appropriate update package for your Mac:

1. Download the Update: Select the download link that matches your Mac’s processor type.
   • Intel-based Mac: "اختر" Download QQSetup_MAC_x64.zip أو Download QQSetup_x64.pkg.
   • Apple Silicon Mac (M1/M2/M3/M4): "اختر" Download QQSetup_MAC_arm64.zip أو Download QQSetup_arm64

1. Install the Update: Open the downloaded .pkg file or extract the .zip file. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
2. Maintain an Internet Connection: Keep your Mac connected to the internet until the installation is complete.
