9.6 How to Create an Ad-hoc Exam

An ad-hoc exam uses the free course weightage, which is the weightage not used by the assessment activities of the course, for example for an extra quiz. It is not linked to an assessment activity, and you enter its weightage in the course. A standard exam is created as an ad-hoc exam by default.

1. Create a standard exam with the wizard, and select إلغاء in the Assessment Activity List (see section 9.4.1).

الـ إدارة الاختبارات screen opens on the تفاصيل الاختبار tab.

1. On the تفاصيل الاختبار tab, verify that اختبار غير مخطط له is selected (2 in Figure 9-7).
2. Complete the تفاصيل الاختبار tab, for example with the title Sample Ad-hoc Assessment (see section 9.4.2).
3. On the أسئلة تجريبية أو تقييمية sub-tab, enter the Weightage In Course (%), which cannot exceed the Remaining Weightage (%) (see section 9.4.4).
4. Add the items with or without a blueprint (see sections 9.4.5 و 9.4.7).
5. Complete the remaining tabs, save the exam and publish it (see sections 9.4.8 to 9.4.14).

The exam is listed on the "تم إنشاؤه tab, and then on the تم النشر" tab. For an ad-hoc exam, the Assessment Activity column displays —-.
