It is not linked to an assessment activity, and you enter its weightage in the course. A standard exam is created as an ad-hoc exam by default.<\/span><\/p><div style=\"background-color: #f1f4f1; border: 1px solid #cce0cc; border-left: 5px solid #2d7a2d; padding: 12px 16px; margin-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px;\"><h5 style=\"color: #2d7a2d; margin-bottom: 8px;\">BEFORE YOU START<\/h5><ul><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The course must have free weightage (see section <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.innotech-sa.com\/ias\/docs\/inno-assessment-qq\/course-designer\/assessment-activities\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">6.8<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/div><ol><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Create a standard exam with the wizard, and select <\/span><b>Cancel<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the <\/span><b>Assessment Activity List<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (see section <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.innotech-sa.com\/ias\/docs\/inno-assessment-qq\/assessment-management\/assessment-activity\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">9.4.1<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Manage Exam<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> screen opens on the <\/span><b>Exam Info<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> tab.<\/span><\/p><ol><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the <\/span><b>Exam Info<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> tab, verify that <\/span><b>Ad-hoc Exam<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is selected (2 in Figure 9-7).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Complete the <\/span><b>Exam Info<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> tab, for example with the title <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sample Ad-hoc Assessment<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (see section <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.innotech-sa.com\/ias\/docs\/inno-assessment-qq\/assessment-management\/exam-info-tab\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">9.4.2<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the <\/span><b>Assessment Type<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> sub-tab, enter the <\/span><b>Weightage In Course (%)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which cannot exceed the <\/span><b>Remaining Weightage (%)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (see section <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.innotech-sa.com\/ias\/docs\/inno-assessment-qq\/assessment-management\/exam-construction-tab\/#944-assessment-type-sub-tab\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">9.4.4<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add the items with or without a blueprint (see sections <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.innotech-sa.com\/ias\/docs\/inno-assessment-qq\/assessment-management\/exam-construction-tab\/#945-blueprint-sub-tab\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">9.4.5<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.innotech-sa.com\/ias\/docs\/inno-assessment-qq\/assessment-management\/exam-management-tab\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">9.4.7<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Complete the remaining tabs, save the exam and publish it (see sections <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.innotech-sa.com\/ias\/docs\/inno-assessment-qq\/assessment-management\/manage-students-tab\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">9.4.8<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.innotech-sa.com\/ias\/docs\/inno-assessment-qq\/assessment-management\/exam-actions-menu\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">9.4.14<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The exam is listed on the <\/span><b>Created<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> tab, and then on the <\/span><b>Published<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> tab.
