9.4.9 Locations Tab<\/b><\/h3>

On the <\/span>Locations<\/b> tab, define where students can take the exam, and select the exam rooms with their room managers and students. The exam rooms are configured in <\/span>Settings<\/b> > <\/span>Manage Building Blocks<\/b> (see section <\/span>5.6<\/span><\/a>).<\/span><\/p>

  1. Select the <\/span>Locations<\/b> tab.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

    The location options are displayed.<\/span><\/p>

    1. Under <\/span>Allow Exam Access Outside University Premises<\/b> (1), select <\/span>Yes<\/b> if students can take the exam from any location, or <\/span>No<\/b> if they must take it on the university network.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

      For <\/span>No<\/b>, an <\/span>Important Notice<\/b> (3) explains the restriction, and the <\/span>Manage IPs<\/b> button (2) is displayed.<\/span><\/p>

      \u2139 <\/b>NOTE: <\/b>With <\/span>No<\/b>, students can access the exam only from the authorized network or Wi-Fi of the university; mobile data, personal hotspots and home networks are blocked; and the public IP addresses of the university network must be registered as allowed addresses in advance by the College Admin in <\/span>Settings<\/b> > <\/span>Manage Static IP\u2019s<\/b>. To check or select the allowed IP addresses, select <\/span>Manage IPs<\/b>.<\/span><\/div>

      If the students take the exam in specific exam rooms, add the rooms, and assign a room manager and the students to each room.<\/span><\/p>

      To add an exam room:<\/span><\/p>

      1. At the top right of the <\/span>Locations<\/b> tab, select <\/span>Add Exam Room<\/b>.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

        The <\/span>Select Rooms<\/b> popup opens.<\/span><\/p>

        1. Expand the college and building, and select the check box (1) of each exam room, for example <\/span>Examination Hall A (Capacity: 40)<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/li>
        2. Select <\/span>Select<\/b> (2).<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

          The message <\/span>Location(s) has been saved successfully.<\/span><\/i> appears. The room is listed with its type and capacity, and the links <\/span>Manage Room Students<\/b>, <\/span>Manage Room Managers<\/b> and <\/span>Un-Assign Room<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

          To assign room managers:<\/span><\/p>

          1. In the row of the room, select <\/span>Manage Room Managers<\/b>.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

            The <\/span>Exam Room Managers<\/b> popup opens.<\/span><\/p>

            1. Under <\/span>Filter By<\/b> (1), select <\/span>Free Managers<\/b>.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

              The users who are not yet assigned are listed.<\/span><\/p>

              1. Select the check box (2) of each manager.<\/span><\/li>
              2. Select <\/span>Assign<\/b> (3).<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

                The message <\/span>Exam room manager(s) has been assigned successfully.<\/span><\/i> appears.<\/span><\/p>

                1. Select <\/span>Close<\/b>.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

                  To assign students to the room:<\/span><\/p>

                    3. Under <\/span>Filter By<\/b>, select <\/span>Free Students<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>
                    4. Select the check box (3) of each student.<\/span><\/li>
                    5. Select <\/span>Assign<\/b> (4).<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

                      The message <\/span>Exam room student(s) has been assigned successfully.<\/span><\/i> appears.<\/span><\/p>

                      \u2139 <\/b>NOTE: <\/b>To find a room, use <\/span>Type Title<\/b>; to display or hide rooms, use <\/span>Expand All<\/b> or <\/span>Collapse All<\/b>. To find a user, use <\/span>Search By<\/b>. To display the assigned managers, select <\/span>Assigned Managers<\/b>. To remove a room from the exam, select <\/span>Un-Assign Room<\/b> in its row.<\/span><\/div>
