9.4.7 Exam Management Tab<\/b><\/h3>

On the <\/span>Exam Management<\/b> tab, you choose the questions (items) of the exam from the course item bank. If you generated the items from a blueprint, they are already listed here; check them, and continue with the <\/span>Manage Students<\/b> tab.<\/span><\/p>

The top of the tab displays the <\/span>Total Required Items<\/b>, <\/span>Total Selected Items<\/b> and <\/span>Duration<\/b> of the exam (1). Each section (3) is listed with its time and marks, and <\/span>Remaining Marks<\/b> (5) displays the exam marks not yet assigned to items. To change the sections, select <\/span>Manage Sections<\/b> (2).<\/span><\/p>

  1. In the first section, select <\/span>Add Items<\/b> (4).<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

    The <\/span>Criteria for pulling Items out of Bank<\/b> screen opens. Use it to filter the item bank and select the items.<\/span><\/p>

    1. Under <\/span>Choose Scope<\/b> (1), select <\/span>All Course Items<\/b> to search the whole item bank of the course, or <\/span>Blueprint Based<\/b> to search only the items that match the blueprint.<\/span><\/li>
    2. Optional: to narrow the search, select the check box of a filter (2, 3), and select or enter its value, for example <\/span>Item Type<\/b> Multi Choice<\/span><\/i>. The filters are described after these steps.<\/span><\/li>
    3. Under <\/span>Item Utilization<\/b>, select <\/span>All Items<\/b>, <\/span>Only New Items<\/b> (items not used in earlier exams) or <\/span>Previously Used Items<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>
    4. Select <\/span>Search<\/b>, next to <\/span>Reset<\/b> (4).<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

      The matching items are listed under <\/span>Choose from Filtered Items<\/b>. The counters (5) display how many items are selected, required and found.<\/span><\/p>

      1. Select the check box (6) of each item to add to the section.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

        To read an item in full before you add it, select the arrow (8) at the end of its row.<\/span><\/p>

        1. Select <\/span>Add Items<\/b> (9).<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

          The message <\/span>Item(s) added successfully.<\/span><\/i> appears, and the <\/span>Exam Management<\/b> tab lists the items under the section.<\/span><\/p>

          1. For each other section, select <\/span>Add Items<\/b> (1) in the row of the section, and repeat steps 2 to 7.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

            When all the required items are added, <\/span>Total Selected Items<\/b> equals <\/span>Total Required Items<\/b> and <\/span>Remaining Marks<\/b> is <\/span>0.00<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>

            Next, assign the students on the <\/span>Manage Students<\/b> tab (see section <\/span>9.4.8<\/span><\/a>).<\/span><\/p>

            After items are added, you can manage them on the <\/span>Exam Management<\/b> tab:<\/span><\/p>
