9.4.3 Exam Construction Tab<\/b><\/h3>

The <\/span>Exam Construction<\/b> tab contains three sub-tabs: <\/span>Assessment Type<\/b> (the weightage and marks), <\/span>Blueprint<\/b> (the optional plan of the exam items) and <\/span>Sections<\/b> (the division of the exam items).<\/span><\/p>

9.4.4 Assessment Type Sub-tab<\/b><\/h3>
  1. Select the <\/span>Exam Construction<\/b> tab (1).<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

    The <\/span>Assessment Type<\/b> sub-tab (2) opens.<\/span><\/p>

    1. In <\/span>Weightage In Course (%)<\/b> (4), enter the weightage of the exam, that is, the percentage of the final course grade that this exam is worth, for example <\/span>10<\/span><\/i>. It cannot exceed the <\/span>Remaining Weightage (%)<\/b> displayed at the top right (3), which is the part of the course grade not yet assigned to other assessments.<\/span><\/li>
    2. Enter the <\/span>Exam Total Marks<\/b>, the <\/span>Passing Marks<\/b> and the <\/span>Number of Questions Required<\/b> (4). All are required.<\/span><\/li>
    3. Select <\/span>Update & Next<\/b> (5).<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

      The <\/span>Blueprint<\/b> sub-tab opens.<\/span><\/p>

      \u2139 <\/b>NOTE: <\/b>When the exam is linked to an assessment activity, the weightage is taken from the activity (see section <\/span>9.7<\/span><\/a>).<\/span><\/div>

      9.4.5 Blueprint Sub-tab<\/b><\/h3>

      A blueprint is a plan of the exam content: it defines how many items (questions) of each item type the exam contains for each course learning outcome (CLO). From the blueprint, the system selects suitable items from the item bank automatically. The blueprint is optional; to select the items yourself, select <\/span>Skip BluePrint<\/b> (3) and add the items on the <\/span>Exam Management<\/b> tab.<\/span><\/p>
